Useful Websites for your Career Planning and Job Search

Data.com Select - Resource for locating hiring managers and key contacts in companies you're interested in working for. You can either pay $5 for each contact and their complete information or upload your contacts to receive points, which can then be redeemed to obtain a contact's information (5 points/contact.) If you upload your contact, you receive royalty points each time someone purchases one of your contacts.

GlassdoorA great site for locating jobs, but more importantly for doing research on companies that you're interested in working for.  The site provides information about the company with links to their website, reviews by current and former employees, information about the salaries employees receive and overviews of interviews the employees went through. This is invaluable when determining if you want to work for the company and, more importantly, helps you prepare for the interview (see the Interview Preparation article on the Blog Page.)

Hootsuite - This is a tool to manage your social media.  You can monitor all of your social media from a single web page, post to multiple sites simultaneously, schedule future posts and perform analytics on your sites to see how effective your posts and other activity is. Since social media is one of the key elements of your career plan, this makes it easy to manage and increases the effectiveness of your activity. Once it is set up you only need to spend 5-10 minutes a day actively managing your social media. For more information on this read the Social Media article on the Blog page of this site.
